Blended Japanese whiskey 5 years - HINOTORI

This exceptional whiskey is distilled by the Hekinan distillery which has been reborn
ashes following a cessation of its production. The Hekinan Distillery, launched its first distillation in 1949 and quickly became a leading producer of Japanese whiskey in the Chubu region in the 1950s. After two historic natural disasters in the mid-to-late 1950s, the distillery closed its doors in 1959.
After many years of inactivity, we restarted production in
2019. Under the guidance of our master sake brewer, we built a
unique still that produces a true expression of Japanese whiskey.
Hinotori means “Phoenix” in Japanese. This Japanese blended, created with care and passion, is a true symbol of our renewal.
Composed of grain whiskey (60% corn, 10% wheat) and malt (30%), it is
aged for 5 years in new American and French white oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES:

DRESS: Gold.
NOSE: Fruity, dried fruits.
MOUTH: Supple, round, nice attack.
FINAL: Soft.
